What's New on DiversiFi: Platform Updates Built by 3PLs, For 3PLs

At DiversiFi, our platform evolves because our clients tell us exactly what they need. The latest round of updates to our bidding tool is no exception. Every feature you'll read about below came directly from conversations with our users. These aren't additions we dreamed up in a vacuum. They're solutions to real pain points that real clients brought to us.

Here's what's new.

Carrier-Native Zoning

Zoning has always been one of those things that sounds simple until you're actually doing it. Every carrier — UPS, DHL, regional carriers — zones differently, and getting it right traditionally meant tracking down obscure documentation and maintaining your own lookup logic. Most people skipped it or approximated it, and bids suffered for it.

Now, the DiversiFi platform handles carrier-native zoning automatically, the same way each carrier does it internally. You can also zone from each of your warehouses and select specific injection points for regional carriers. No chasing down information. No manual lookups. It's all built in.

Coverage Awareness

Tied closely to zoning is carrier coverage, meaning does a given carrier actually deliver to a destination zip code? Previously, a regional carrier with ultra-low pricing might win a rate comparison simply because coverage gaps weren't being accounted for. Now the platform checks coverage before rating, so you're only seeing options that can realistically fulfill the shipment.

Surcharge Toggles: Fuel, Residential, and Oversized

This is one of the features clients asked for most. You now have the ability to toggle on and off fuel delivery area surcharges, residential surcharges, and additional handling or oversized fees and the logic behind them mirrors how the carriers themselves calculate these charges, including zone-specific fee differences.

What does that mean in practice? No more massive formulas in your Excel sheet. No more manually updating your bidding process every time a carrier adjusts their fee structure. The platform maintains that logic for you, and the result is more accurate bids, a more realistic picture of total landed cost, and less time spent on the backend work that no one wants to do.

Dim Divisor and Fuel Discount Calculations

Dimensional weight divisors determine billable weight, and most people ignore them in their own processes because accounting for them manually is genuinely tedious. Same goes for fuel discounts. Both are now factored directly into the platform's calculations, so your bids reflect what you'll actually be charged, not a rough estimate.

Improved Map Visualization

A cleaner, more intuitive map view now gives you a better at-a-glance understanding of where a prospect is shipping from and to. It's a smaller update on the surface, but it makes the overall tool easier to navigate and present to potential clients.

Why These Updates Matter

The theme running through all of these features is accuracy and what accuracy actually costs in time and resources when you're trying to build it yourself. As Kevin Miller, DiversiFi's Chief Product Officer, puts it: "These features came about based on feedback directly from our customers saying, 'Help me make sure my fuel is accurate,' or 'I need to account for these fees, but I've never been able to implement something like that.'"

When clients can walk into a prospect conversation with a bid that accounts for carrier zoning, surcharges, dim weight, and coverage automatically, they show up as the experts they already are. That's what DiversiFi is built to do.
